We are a leading provider of independent medical examinations dedicated to supporting United States Veterans through the disability benefits process.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to conduct thorough medical assessments for veterans. This role is focused on providing objective evaluations, which do not involve treatment.
You will be responsible for reviewing comprehensive medical records, conducting in-depth evaluations, and completing detailed Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure online portal. These assessments will assist the VA in making accurate disability determinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret veterans' medical records through a secure web portal to identify relevant health information.
- Conduct thorough, non-treating assessments of veterans to document current health conditions accurately.
- Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings and provide clear recommendations.
- Evaluate up to four veterans daily with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
Schedule and Workload:
The selected candidate will work on a flexible schedule with options including:
- A minimum of one day per month or two half days every other week, allowing for a balanced workload and personal time.
Requirements:
- Dedicated to performing high-quality, independent medical assessments in a non-treating, investigative role.
- Skilled in analyzing and synthesizing data from comprehensive medical records and physical assessments to provide accurate conclusions.
- Effective time management skills to complete tasks within deadlines and maintain a focus on quality.
- Proficient in digital documentation and record review with attention to detail.
- Dedicated to serving veterans and contributing to their well-being through objective evaluations.
- Active MD or DO license with specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
- Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred.
- Strong typing skills and attention to detail are essential.
