Job Overview

MRG Exams is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to perform medical evaluations on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

In this role, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran. You will then electronically document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.

The Nurse Practitioner does not make disability determinations; the United States Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations.

This position performs Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, on average.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.

• Skilled in time management, able to stay on task and meet requirements.
\
• Must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
\
• Proficiently use a computer.
\
• Conduct focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran.
\
• Electronically document exam findings required by the VA.
\
• Perform Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day.
\
• Meet productivity and quality standards.
\
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
\
• Other duties as assigned by management.
\

Requirements

\
\
• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
\
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
\
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\
• Basic life support certification (BLS).
\
• Computer proficiency.
\
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
\
