We are seeking a dedicated Audiologist to join our team in conducting medical assessments for U.S. Veterans. As a Disability Benefits Audiologist, you will review electronic medical records, conduct Maryland CNC Tests and Puretone Audiometric tests, and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires within a secure web portal. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in electronic documentation, and a professional demeanor when interacting with Veterans.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will conduct in-person disability assessments, review and analyze electronic medical records, accurately document exam findings, and complete required VA forms. They will also provide exceptional customer service to Veterans and their families, ensuring a positive experience throughout the assessment process. This role does not involve prescribing medical treatments or devices; disability determinations are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Requirements and Qualifications
To excel in this position, you should possess a Doctoral degree in Audiology from an ASHA Accredited School, current licensure as an Audiologist, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should also be proficient in electronic documentation and web-based portals. Health insurance and 401K benefits are available, along with training and ongoing support provided.
