About MRG Exams: We are a leading provider of independent medical examinations dedicated to supporting United States Veterans through the VA's disability benefits process.
Job Overview: As a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician, you will conduct medical assessments for veterans in a non-treating capacity. This role involves reviewing medical records, conducting comprehensive evaluations, and completing VA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure online portal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze veterans' medical records to identify relevant health information.
- Conduct thorough assessments of veterans to document current health conditions.
- Complete DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings.
- Ensure timely submission of DBQs within 24 hours of the assessment.
- Assess up to four veterans daily.
Schedule: The position requires working 2 days a week in person, with additional Telehealth days available.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Requirements:
- Active MD or DO license with a specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
- Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred; candidates with a completed two-year residency in a relevant specialty will also be considered.
- Strong typing skills and attention to detail are essential.
