Audiologist Assessment Role
We are seeking an Audiologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The Veteran files a claim prior to their appointment, and all relevant medical records are uploaded into a secure computer portal for review. The Audiologist will conduct Maryland CNC Tests and Puretone Audiometric tests, and complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) in the computer portal. This medical evidence forms the basis for the VA's decision regarding the veteran's benefits.
This position involves reviewing and assessing 3-6 Veterans per day, with a schedule of 2 days per week. The role is based in-person, offering dedicated hours from 1-1.5 hours per patient without evenings, on-call duties, or weekend work. There are no hearing aid sales associated with this position.
Requirements
- Auditorium Doctorate (Au.D) degree from an ASHA-accredited institution.
- Current licensure as an Audiologist.
- Meet credentialing requirements set by the VA.
