We are seeking skilled medical professionals to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Key Responsibilities
- Review electronic medical records through a web portal
- Conduct in-person physical exams on each Veteran
- Document exam findings electronically through the web portal
Important Notes
This role does not involve making disability determinations; this responsibility lies with the United States Veterans Administration.
Average daily caseload is 3-5 Veterans, working Monday-Friday (8am-4pm)
This is an in-person position requiring interaction with Veterans.
Requirements
- Interest in performing Independent Medical Assessments
- Able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
- Strong time management skills to stay on task and meet requirements
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license
- Proficient computer skills
