Job Title:
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Disability Assessments
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review medical records electronically through a web portal and perform focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran.
- Electronically document exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.
- Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position, 2 days/week. You will have a set schedule during normal business hours and will never be on call.
Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license.
- Ability to analyze data and form medical opinions.
- Skilled in time management and able to stay on task.
- Proficiently use a computer.
