**Job Title:** Medical Assessor for United States Veterans
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
In this role, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct in-person physical exams on each Veteran.
You will document exam findings using the VA's web portal.
The successful candidate will not make disability determinations, as this is the responsibility of the United States Veterans Administration.
This position involves conducting Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day.
Schedule: Full-time (Mon-Thurs 8am-6pm OR Monday-Friday 8am-4pm)
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct independent medical assessments
- Analyze medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
- Manage time effectively to meet requirements
- Hold a current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Be proficient in computer use
**Requirements:**
- Hold a current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license
- Meet credentialing requirements set forth by the VA
