Job Title: Disability Assessment Practitioner
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
About the Role
In this position, you will review electronic medical records and perform in-person physical exams on each Veteran.
You will document exam findings using a web portal and work independently to analyze data and complete questionnaires.
This is not a treatment or prescribing role; your primary focus is on performing Disability Assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent medical assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day
- Analyze medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
- Document exam findings using a web portal
- Work within a clinical setting during normal business hours (M, W, F, 9am-5pm)
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted NP or PA license
- NCCPA-accredited license required
- Proficient computer skills
