Disability Assessment Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
In this role, you will review electronic medical records and conduct in-person physical exams on each Veteran. Your findings will be documented electronically through a web portal.
This position is responsible for performing Disability Assessments only; no treatment or medication prescriptions will be made. The average caseload is 3-5 Veterans per day.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, with a set schedule and no on-call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform independent medical assessments of Veterans.
- Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
- Skilled in time management and able to stay on task to meet requirements.
- Hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
- Proficiently use a computer.
Requirements:
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
