We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review medical records electronically through a web portal.
- Perform focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran.
- Document exam findings electronically through the web portal.
This role does not involve making disability determinations, which are made by the United States Veterans Administration. The responsibilities include performing Disability Assessments only, without treating or prescribing medication.
The position performs Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day.
Schedule: Part-Time, 2 days/week (8am-4pm)
Key Attributes:
- Interest in independent medical assessments.
- Able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings.
- Skilled in time management and meeting requirements.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- Proficient computer skills.
Requirements:
- Unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license.
- Credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
