Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
In performing Disability Assessments, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct a focused, in-person physical exam on each Veteran.
You will document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal. It is essential to note that you do not make disability determinations; this responsibility lies with the United States Veterans Administration.
This role solely involves performing Disability Assessments on Veterans. You will not treat patients or prescribe medication in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Independent Medical Assessments
- Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
- Manage time effectively, stay on task, and meet requirements
- Proficiently use a computer for documentation purposes
Requirements:
Must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NCCPA accredited) license.
