Nurse Practitioner Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records electronically through a web portal
- Perform focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran
- Electronically document exam findings required by the VA through the web portal
The Nurse Practitioner will NOT make disability determinations. The United States Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations. This role ONLY performs Disability Assessments on Veterans and does NOT involve treating or prescribing medication.
Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license
- Ability to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
- Excellent time management skills and ability to stay on task
- Proficiency in using a computer
