Job Summary
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will conduct Disability Assessments for Veterans, reviewing electronic medical records and performing in-person physical exams. You will document exam findings through a web portal, but do not make disability determinations. This role is exclusive to conducting assessments on Veterans, without treatment or medication prescription responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Analyze medical records and exam data to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
- Manage time effectively, staying on task to meet requirements.
- Conduct 3-5 Disability Assessments per day, averaging 8 hours of work on Fridays from 8a to 4p.
Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
- Proficiency in computer use.
- Meet credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
