We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to conduct thorough medical evaluations of United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The selected candidate will review electronic medical records through a secure web portal and perform comprehensive in-person physical exams on each Veteran.
They will then document exam findings electronically via the web portal, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
This role is focused solely on conducting Disability Assessments; all disability determinations are made by the United States Veterans Administration.
The successful candidate will not be responsible for treating patients or prescribing medication.
Typically, this position involves evaluating 3-5 Veterans per day, with a consistent schedule of one day per week (either Tuesday or Thursday).
This is an in-person position, requiring interaction with Veterans in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent medical assessments
- Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to inform medical opinions
- Demonstrate strong time management skills and ability to meet requirements
- Hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Be proficient in using a computer
