Job Title: Part-time Optometrist
">We are seeking a part-time Optometrist to perform comprehensive eye exams on United States Veterans as part of the VA's Standard Examination (SHA) process.
">Responsibilities

- Review medical health records through a secure Web Portal ">
- Perform comprehensive eye exams on each veteran and complete forms through the Web Portal ">
- Assess 3-6 Veterans per day on average, with a schedule of 3 days/week ">
Requirements
">- ">
- Current license as an Optometrist in the State where exams are performed ">
- Able to perform Visual Field Testing (VFT) ">
- Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA ">
- Excellent written and oral communication skills ">
- Interest in serving Veterans in their community ">
- Ability to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete forms and form medical opinions ">
- Completed forms must be submitted within 24 hours after an exam ">
- Availability to work as an independent contractor (1099) ">
