Job Overview
MRG Exams, a leading provider of medical assessments, is seeking a skilled Physiatrist to conduct thorough evaluations of United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The selected professional will review comprehensive medical health records through a secure Web Portal and perform detailed assessments on each veteran.
Additionally, they will complete Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal, documenting exam findings required by the VA.
It is essential to note that the provider will not make disability determinations, as this responsibility lies with the VA.
This position involves Independent Medical Assessments, which serve as a Medical Fact Finding and Investigative role, distinct from traditional patient care and treatment.
The ideal candidate should be willing to spend at least 50% of their day reviewing medical records and electronically documenting exam findings.
They must be proficient in finding key data points within large electronic medical records and able to analyze data from these records and exam findings to complete DBQs and form medical opinions.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must hold a current license as a Physiatrist.
- Must be Board Certified in either Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology.
