Position Summary : We are on the lookout for a qualified and dedicated Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to conduct essential medical assessments for veterans. This position focuses exclusively on independent medical assessments, without involvement in treatment. You will play a critical role by reviewing medical records, conducting thorough evaluations, and completing VA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure online portal. Your assessments will aid the VA in making precise disability determinations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and analyze veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
- Conduct detailed, non-treating assessments of veterans to document their current health conditions.
- Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all pertinent medical findings.
- Ensure that all DBQs are comprehensive, accurate, and submitted within 24 hours of the assessment.
- Assess up to four veterans daily.
Schedule : 1-2 days / week, with additional telehealth days available.
