Medical Examination Expert Wanted: MRG Exams is a leading provider of independent medical examinations dedicated to supporting United States Veterans. We are seeking a qualified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to conduct medical assessments for veterans. This role involves reviewing medical records, conducting in-depth evaluations, and completing VA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure online portal.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Reviewing and analyzing veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
• Conducting comprehensive, non-treating assessments of veterans to document current health conditions.
• Completing and submitting DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings.
• Assessing up to four veterans daily.
• Working a schedule of 1 day/month or 2 half days every other week
The ideal candidate should possess:
• A strong motivation to perform independent medical assessments in a non-treating, investigative role.
• The ability to analyze and synthesize data from comprehensive medical records and physical assessments.
• Excellent time management skills, completing tasks within deadlines, and maintaining a focus on quality.
• Comfort and efficiency in digital documentation and record review.
• A dedication to serving veterans and making a positive impact in their lives.
• An active MD or DO license with a specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
• Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred; Strong typing skills and attention to detail are essential.
