Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Provider Opportunity
MRG Exams West, a subsidiary of MRG Exams, is seeking a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Provider to conduct medical assessments for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The ideal candidate will review medical health records through a secure web portal and perform comprehensive assessments on each veteran.
A key aspect of this role is completing Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) through the web portal, documenting exam findings required by the VA.
This position does not involve making disability determinations, as those are made by the VA. It is an independent assessment role, not a treating physician position.
Successful candidates will be able to travel at least 2 days per week around North Dakota, with additional opportunities for Telehealth services.
On average, this role involves reviewing and assessing 4 veterans per day.
Requirements
- A current license as a Physiatrist is required.
- Board Certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is also necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing medical health records through a secure web portal.
- Performing comprehensive assessments on each veteran.
- Completing Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) through the web portal.
- Documenting exam findings required by the VA.
Preferred Skills:
- Interest in performing Independent Medical Assessments versus traditional patient care and treatment.
- Ability to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete DBQs and form medical opinions.
- Proficiency in finding key data points within large electronic medical records.
- Excellent typing skills.
- Strong time management and task completion skills.
