Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to conduct comprehensive medical assessments for veterans. This role involves reviewing medical records, conducting thorough evaluations, and completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure online portal.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed medical assessments of veterans to document current health conditions.
- Review and analyze extensive medical records through a secure web portal.
- Complete DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of DBQs.
- Assess multiple veterans daily, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Schedule and Work Environment
Minimum 2 days/week travel around North Dakota, with additional telehealth opportunities available.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in independent medical assessments.
- Proficient in managing time effectively and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on serving veterans.
- Skilled in digital documentation and record review.
Requirements
- Active MD or DO license with specialization in PM&R.
- Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology preferred.
- Strong typing skills and attention to detail essential.
