Audiologist - Veteran Disability Assessments
At mrg-exams, we are seeking a dedicated Audiologist to perform medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Job Description:
We require an experienced Audiologist who can review the Veteran's medical records, conduct a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test, and complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) within our secure web portal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans.
- Review and analyze electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
- Accurately document exam findings and complete the required VA forms.
Note: This role does not involve prescribing any medical treatments or devices. Disability determinations are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the provider.
Schedule and Caseload:
- Part-Time schedule: 2-3 days/week (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
- Caseload: 3-6 Veterans per day on average.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills to review medical records and assessment data.
- Proficient in electronic documentation and web-based portals.
- A professional and empathetic demeanor when interacting with Veterans.
Qualifications:
- Degree from an ASHA Accredited School.
- Current license as an Audiologist.
