What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterans Disability Evaluator position at MRG Exams?
We are looking for a highly skilled Licensed Psychologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. As an Independent Contractor with MRG Exams, you will have the unique opportunity to serve the Veteran community while working independently.
In this role, you will review electronic behavioral health records through a secure Web Portal and conduct comprehensive assessments in person on each Veteran. You will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal. It is essential to note that the Licensed Psychologist does not make disability determinations; instead, they provide findings recorded in the DBQs for the U.S. Veterans Administration to consider.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. As an Independent Contractor, you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing 4 Veterans per day on average. You will also have the flexibility to work 3 days a week, with regular hours from 8 am to 5 pm.
To be successful in this role, you must hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree from an APA-accredited program, have an active and unrestricted Psychology license, and meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA. If you are a driven and compassionate individual who is dedicated to serving the Veteran community, we encourage you to apply.
