What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterans Disability Psychologist position at MRG Exams?
We are seeking a Licensed Psychologist to perform comprehensive medical assessments on United States Veterans through the VA's disability benefits process.
As a Disability Assessor, you will review behavioral health records electronically and conduct in-depth in-person assessments of each Veteran.
You will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure Web Portal.
The Licensed Psychologist does not make disability determinations; the U.S. Veterans Administration makes all decisions based on findings recorded in the DBQs.
This role involves only Disability Assessments on Veterans, not treatment or medication prescription.
You will work with various Veterans, each with unique needs and circumstances, providing them with expert care and assessment.
Your expertise as a Licensed Psychologist will be instrumental in helping these deserving individuals receive the benefits they deserve.
The average number of Veterans assessed per day is 4, providing a manageable caseload that allows for thorough assessments and quality care.
As an Independent Contractor, you will have the flexibility to work full-time (3 days face-to-face, 2 days telehealth), offering a great balance between autonomy and structure.
Benefits include compensation of $500 per day and malpractice insurance coverage, providing peace of mind and financial security.
