What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterans Health Care Specialist position at MRG Exams?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our team at MRG Exams in performing medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
As an Optometrist, you will conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans, reviewing and analyzing electronic medical records via a secure web portal, and performing thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT). You will accurately document exam findings and complete the required VA forms.
The successful candidate will have a strong analytical skillset to review medical records and assessment data, be proficient in electronic documentation and web-based portals, and possess a professional and empathetic demeanor when interacting with Veterans.
The ideal candidate will hold an active & unrestricted Optometrist license, be proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT), and be interested in serving and supporting the Veteran community without treatment responsibilities.
