Position Overview:

Our client, a prominent Sugar Refinery, is seeking a degreed Electrical Engineer based near Denver, CO, responsible for overseeing electrical and instrumentation upgrades at multiple sugar beet processing sites across the Rocky Mountain region.

Travel Requirements:

Up to 50%, including Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming & Montana, auditing facilities to ensure proper operation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.

Reporting Line:

Reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager. Building strong relationships with plant personnel, engineering staff, and vendors.

Essential Functions:

• Lead electrical and instrumentation projects from design through execution.
• Utilize engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD) for design tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers and plant personnel for troubleshooting and project implementation.
• Prepare electrical system specifications, technical drawings, and maps.
• Perform calculations for standards, designs, and plans.
• Ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and codes.
• Conduct inspections to ensure equipment safety and operability.
• Prepare reports and compile project data.
• Develop specifications for electrical equipment.
• Supervise and train plant personnel and project teams.
• Estimate material, labor, and construction costs.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical problems.
• Install, service, calibrate, and update electrical systems.
• Develop and test electrical system prototypes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in industrial Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in medium and low voltage system design (12470V to 24V).
• Familiarity with NEC and NFPA 70E.
• Experience in PLC cabinets, MCC, and Switchboards design.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering codes and standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary:
