Production Operations Manager
The Production Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management of the production operations in a food processing manufacturing facility. This includes production planning, scheduling, and coordinating all production activities and the management and direction of production workers. The Production Manager will work with the quality department ensuring that the facility meets all SQF / BRC quality and safety standards and targets. The Production Manager will also help facilitate a culture of lean manufacturing, TPM and employee training and performance management. This position will be responsible for achieving key KPI targets, and developing SOP's and accountability with employees in achievement of goals
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement production plans for the facility for daily, weekly production targets.
- Schedule and coordinate the activities of production workers for forecasted prouction.
- Monitor the production process to ensure that KPI's are being achieved and that waste and downtime are minimized.
- Work cross functional with quality and maintenance to insure that the facility meets all quality and safety standards
- Manage the production department budget for personnel and resources
- Recruit, train, and develop production workers, supervisors and hourly personnel on Lean manufacturing principles and the achievement of KPI targets.
