As a Project Accountant, you will be a crucial part of our construction team, ensuring financial accuracy and smooth operations from project startup through final closeout. You'll collaborate with both the jobsite and finance teams to keep everything running seamlessly—handling contracts, budgets, payables, billings, and compliance.

What You’ll Do:- Act as the financial backbone of the project, ensuring budgets, job cost reports, and accounts receivable remain accurate.
- Maintain financial records in alignment with the general ledger and project cost system.
- Process contracts, change orders, invoices, payroll, and billings with precision and timeliness.
- Work closely with subcontractors to ensure compliance, including verifying insurance and managing payments.
- Assist in monthly financial reporting and communicate updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Keep the jobsite’s financial and administrative processes running smoothly.
✔ High School Diploma or GED required (Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred).
✔ 2 years of accounting experience, ideally in construction or a related industry.
✔ Strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
✔ Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
✔ A proactive approach—able to anticipate needs and solve problems before they arise.
- Experience with construction accounting or working within the AEC industry.
- Familiarity with cost tracking software or ERP systems.
