Weld Engineer - Automotive Stamping and Welding
We are actively searching for a experienced Weld Engineer to join our team with an Automotive and Consumer Products Company, in a key leadership position.
MUST HAVE AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE - QUALITY – WELDING – ROBOTICS – STEEL / ALUMINUM – SET-UP
Fluent in Spanish is a HUGE PLUS!
We are a stamping manufacturing company that produces metal and aluminum parts for various automotive applications. The role requires a strong understanding of stamping panels and stamped parts as applied to the robotics welding operations. Knowledge of Mig, Tig, Spot, AC / DC Spot Welding is required.

The ideal Weld Engineer will collaborate directly with leadership staff, shop floor support and the quality team, crafting solutions for both automotive and consumer products.
The role demands innovative thinking, a proactive approach and the Subject Matter Expert (SME). Successful applicants will demonstrate a strong track record in engineering and leadership, guiding projects from conception to completion.
Large Capital Experience is very desirable as we are striving to implement new technologies and advanced methods in the welding shops.

Essential Job Functions :
- Work directly with Automotive and Consumer Customers, Leadership Staff, Shop Floor Support and Sales.
- Apply your engineering genius to conduct thorough analyses, ensuring designs are not just good on paper but are strong, durable, and ready for the manufacturing process. Work with Manufacturing for Prototype and Final Production.
- Contact personnel of other agencies, engineering personnel, or clients to exchange ideas and information, or offer technical advice concerning welding matters.
- May perform experimental welding to evaluate new equipment, techniques, and materials. Any other reasonable request made by management.
- Take the helm in managing costs without compromising on innovation or quality, setting clear budgets for your visionary projects.
- Engage with suppliers to handpick the best off-the-shelf components, ensuring our designs are both top-notch and practical and meet or exceed the company’s quality standards for welding applications.
- Creates welding procedures to guide production and welding personnel relating to specification restrictions, material processes, pre- and post-heating requirements involving complex alloys, unusual fabrication methods, welding of critical joints, and complex post-heating requirements.
- Evaluate new developments in the welding field for possible application to current welding problems or production processes.
- Lead the prototype build process with enthusiasm, overseeing assembly and testing to bring concepts to life.
- Tackle field issues head-on, identifying root causes and engineering effective solutions to keep our products performing flawlessly.
- Present your innovative design ideas with confidence during reviews, communicating technical details to a diverse audience with clarity and passion.
- Continuously help to refine and update drawings and models, incorporating feedback to perfect our product offerings.
- Keep your finger on the pulse of technology and industry trends, ensuring our designs stay ahead of the curve.
- Champion our commitment to quality, adhering to the highest standards and procedures that our customers trust.
- Create procedures for TPM and Equipment maintenance for others to have clear direction.
- Develop new or modify current welding methods, techniques, and procedures.
- Prepare technical reports because of research and development and preventive maintenance investigations.
- Direct and coordinates technical personnel in performing inspections to ensure workers' compliance with established welding procedures, restrictions, and standards; in testing welds for conformance with national code requirements; or testing welding personnel for certification.
- Contact personnel of other agencies, engineering personnel, or clients to exchange ideas and information, or offer technical advice concerning welding matters.
- May perform experimental welding to evaluate new equipment, techniques, and materials. Any other reasonable request made by management.
- Contributes to a safe, clean, and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize, and support) are supported and adhered to.
