Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and acquire new commercial clients by leveraging existing networks, participating in industry events, and utilizing proactive sales strategies.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients by providing tailored financial solutions, conducting regular review meetings, and addressing client needs efficiently.
- Credit Assessment: Evaluate and assess the creditworthiness of potential and current clients, including analyzing financial statements, cash flow, and collateral.
- Loan Origination: Oversee the loan application process, including collecting necessary documentation, preparing credit memos, and presenting loan proposals to the credit committee.
- Risk Management: Monitor the performance of loan portfolios, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Cross-Selling: Actively cross-sell additional bank products and services, such as treasury management, merchant services, and wealth management, to enhance client relationships.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as credit analysts, underwriters, and product specialists, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in commercial banking, with a focus on CI lending.
- Skills: Strong analytical and credit assessment skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of CI lending products, banking regulations, and industry best practices.
- Certification: Relevant certifications, such as Certified Commercial Banker (CCB) or Certified Commercial Lending Officer (CCLO), are a plus.
