Position Overview:
As a Commercial Credit Analyst, you will be a critical member of our lending team, primarily supporting SBA and commercial loan presentations and reviews. You will be responsible for analyzing financial statements, preparing credit presentations, and conducting thorough loan reviews. The role involves working closely with a collaborative credit department and lending team to ensure smooth and efficient loan processing. Your contributions will play a key role in maintaining our high standards of credit quality, while working in a flexible and dynamic underwriting environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis of commercial borrowers, including financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare and present loan presentations, ensuring accurate and comprehensive data for underwriting review.
  • Review loan files to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Work closely with lenders to provide timely and accurate credit decisions on loans, including CI, manufacturing, and commercial real estate (CRE) loans.
  • Analyze and prepare SBA loan documentation and reviews.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, including lenders and credit department personnel.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of our bank by providing analytical support and recommendations for loan structuring and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure a high level of service and communication to ensure smooth loan processing and approval.
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience as a credit analyst, commercial underwriter, or similar financial role (experience in SBA lending is a plus).
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and credit risk assessments.
  • Experience with CI, manufacturing, and commercial real estate (CRE) lending preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to support lenders and credit department staff as needed.
