What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Art Director position at MRM McCann?
MRM is looking for a Senior Art Director. They will execute advertising materials that are consistent with an agreed strategy and work closely with the production team to come up with the best possible creative solutions. It is the responsibility of the Senior Art Director to produce bold, strategic, and persuasive products across media for our clients and comply with quality standards for the team. The Senior Art Director's workload will consist of (but is not limited to) designing for email, site, social, OLA and print pieces. Email and site experience is required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop concepts and collaborate with the production team as needed.
- Responsible for ideating and designing strong and effective work for a range of digital marketing materials including, but not limited to, websites, landing pages, printed collateral, social, banners and emails.
- Present concepts to other departments.
- Build relationships with appropriate agency leads.
- Work collaboratively and harmoniously as a teammate both within and outside the creative department.
- Art direction of assets including image selection and direction on set, working collaboratively with producers, art buyers, and photographers.
- Meet with project management to review work in progress and selects desired concepts.
- Submit work to senior leadership for review and approval.
- Own projects from conception through completion
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as an art director or designer
- A polished portfolio of your work
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to ideate
- Strong and clean design aesthetic
- Expert with Adobe Creative Suite
- Must have experience working in Figma
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Extremely detail oriented and organized
- Professional and proactive with the ability to keep cool and think clearly under pressure
- Experience leading creative projects from start to finish
Location:
MRM Detroit team members must reside in a commutable distance, or be willing to relocate, to the Detroit area unless otherwise agreed upon by their manager and MRM Detroit's Human Resources team. MRM Detroit is a hybrid workplace with three days in-office per week.
