Job Summary:

The Bowling & Restaurant Host is a line-level position responsible for ensuring the day-to-day tasks of both the bowling and restaurant facilities are met. This role combines the responsibilities of both a Bowling Host and a Restaurant Host, requiring knowledge of company policies and procedures to provide an excellent guest experience.  

• Bowling Hosts start at $11.50 per hour.
• Restaurant Hosts start at $12.00 per hour.

Accountabilities:

As a Bowling & Restaurant Host, your day-to-day tasks will include:

Bowling Host Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist guests with their check-in, assigning lanes, and ensuring they feel informed about the bowling facility.
• Manage lane bookings, accommodate walk-ins, and communicate wait times effectively.
• Help guests select and fit appropriate bowling equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper organization.
• Provide support with troubleshooting scoring systems, addressing ball/pin jams, and resolving lane-related issues.
• Maintain the bowling area’s cleanliness and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.

Restaurant Host Responsibilities:

• Greet guests upon arrival, creating a positive first impression.
• Handle and organize reservations and waitlists and communicate seating arrangements efficiently.
• Escort guests to their tables while following seating rotation procedures.
• Receive and record to-go orders accurately, and coordinate with the bar team as needed.
• Support table turnover by resetting tables quickly and efficiently for new guests.
• Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and welcoming.

• Consistency in guest service (i.e. efficiency in seating, minimizing guest wait time, efficient reservation and waitlist management, effective event coordination, effective facility maintenance, and efficiency in managing table turnover without compromising guest satisfaction)
• Consistent attendance and punctuality for shifts
• Adherence to safety and sanitation standards
• Adherence to all company policies and procedures

Qualifications Required:

• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong task and time management skills / Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Experience/Knowledge Required:

• Preferably related experience in a dynamic restaurant atmosphere
• Preferably experience in customer service

Physical Requirements:

• Candidates must meet physical requirements to effectively perform job responsibilities. This includes standing for long periods of time, walking, sitting, utilization of hands and arms, maneuvering up and down stairs with no difficulty, and lifting up to fifty pounds.
