This role is integral to strengthening and expanding our client relationships, particularly with our global hospitality partners.
Position Overview:
The Account Business Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing and nurturing existing client relationships while driving new business development opportunities. This position is fully remote, with frequent travel to Bethesda, MD, to meet with client managers and consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management (60%)
- Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for assigned client accounts, managing all position openings and closures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Develop and execute strategies to retain and grow client accounts, achieving or exceeding KPIs for engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Act as the POC for hired consultants, maintaining clear communication and providing support.
- Generate weekly, quarterly, and annual reports to track and analyze account performance.
Internal Relationship Development (20%)
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell mroads’ products and services, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Build and foster strong relationships with client managers through regular meetings, check-ins, and events such as one-on-one meetings, lunches, or dinners.
- Proactively address and resolve client concerns to ensure consistent satisfaction and alignment with objectives.
New Business Development (20%)
- Explore and secure new business opportunities within the global hospitality sector and other verticals.
- Leverage lead generation tools, including Salesforce, to identify and engage potential clients.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute effective business development strategies.
- Aim to onboard 2-3 new clients annually.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in account management and business development, preferably in the technology or hospitality industries.
- Demonstrated success in client engagement strategies and achieving KPIs.
- Proficiency in lead generation tools such as Salesforce.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically, up to 75%.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage with senior leaders within client organizations.
- Quick adaptability to new software, tools, or skill sets.
- Initiative-driven mindset with persistence in ensuring high-quality and timely outcomes for clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other relevant software tools.
- Experience working with automotive or hospitality clients is preferred.
