You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance on a wide range of motorcycle makes and models. Responsibilities:
Perform basic servicing items on motorcycles, oil change, mounting and balancing tires, changing spark plugs, valve adjustments, clutch replacements, brake pad replacement, chain services, air filter service. Completed to manufacture specifications.
Perform electronic, mechanical, and fuel system diagnostic for running issues or other motorcycle problems. Along with the use of testing tools, not limited to voltmeter testing, load and amp draw testing, ohm readings, compression test, fuel pressure tests, and/or using handheld diagnostic tablet scanner.
Provide excellent customer service by recommending solid solutions to repair issues or other problems, and presenting options to service writer and/or customer.
Use company management software to look up jobs, enter parts and labors needed for jobs, keep meticulous records for repair and service history, and any other information pertaining to jobs.
Upgrade and modify motorcycle parts systems when needed for customer jobs specifics.
Remove and install suspension and/or engine components for service by other specialized members of our team.
Maintain mechanic tools including basic diagnostic tools to complete required job tasks.
Maintain a neat and clean work area as per company standards.
Employment Requirements
Proven experience as a motorcycle mechanic or similar role.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Understanding of fundamentals of fuel injection systems, components and uses
Understanding of Four Stroke motorcycle engine, parts, timing, and transmissions
High school graduate
Strong communication skills with computer skills to interact with customers and staff
Possess own mechanic tool set including basic diagnostic tools, compression tester, voltmeter, fluid pressure tester.
Desired Skills
Experience dyno tuning motorcycles, via Power commander, bazzaz or third party ecu programs
ECU flashing
Experience or in-depth knowledge of motorcycle suspension. Internal component identification, theory of fundamentals springs, damping, and friction.
Flat Rate or hourly available.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
