ABOUT THE COMPANY
Mrs. Gerry's was founded in 1973 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Mrs. Gerry's is a premier salad and side manufacturer and offers 120 different products which are sold coast to coast. We are looking for great team members who desire a friendly work environment and want to learn how we create delicious fresh potato salad, warm mashed potatoes, cold pasta salads, zesty dips and more. Our products enable families and friends to celebrate around the dinner or picnic table every day.
STARTING WAGE : $20.40 per hour
SIGN ON BONUS : $1,500
HOURS : 2 : 00pm - 10 : 30pm (end time may vary due to business needs)
DAYS : Monday through Friday
SUMMARY
This position operates equipment to produce Mrs. Gerry's salads by mixing, operating, and packaging. Team members ensure products are packaged to the highest quality and safety standards.
When not operating equipment, machinery is to be disassembled and sanitized. Team members are accountable for plant cleanliness and ensuring it is ready for production the following day. Team members learn proper chemical and equipment operations to ensure the safe production of our products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Know and follow HACCP and SQF programs.
- Know and follow all Food Safety procedures.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Follow all Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Wear all required personal protective equipment. For more information see policy.
- Must sanitize equipment.
- Ensuring lids, containers and box labels represent the product being filled.
- Ensure weight of each container of salad weighs according to standards, never under.
- Check dates on product and box, metal detectors, and weights.
- Know all chemicals and their uses.
- Know cleaning procedures.
- Disassemble and assemble applicable equipment for cleaning.
- Monitor air and surface bacteria counts.
- Other duties will be assigned.
