About the Transportation Business Unit

The Transportation Business Unit provides transportation engineering services for all project types and scopes, from the largest interstate systems to local municipality roads. Some of the services provided include roadway and intersection design, corridor improvements, bridge replacement and rehabilitation, and environmental documentation. Our traffic, highway, structural, and environmental planning engineers work collaboratively to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and long-term transportation solutions. Together, we build solutions that not only meet today’s needs but anticipate tomorrow’s demands.

What You'll Do:

As a Roadway Design Engineer, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to large-scale transportation projects while growing your expertise in the field. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Lead the way on roadway design—help us plan and design major highway projects that will leave a positive, lasting impact on communities.
• Drive innovation by assisting in feasibility studies, creating environmental planning documents, and proposing changes that enhance highway efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with an expert team of engineers, technicians, and administrative staff, all while contributing your own insights and ideas.
• Shape the future of transportation by preparing final project plans and documents, ensuring precision in every detail, from project quantities to design specifications.

The ideal candidate will bring:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or University is required, or equivalent experience.  
• EIT certification preferred PE a plus!
• Roadway engineering experience and familiarity with alternative delivery projects are highly valued.

Knowledge and Skills

• Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
• A strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with AASHTO and DOT policies
