Water Resources Scientist (hybrid)

ms consultants, inc. is actively seeking a Water Resources Scientist for immediate employment to work in our Raleigh office. The successful candidate will support the Water Resources group in leading projects and serving on project teams planning and designing water resources focused infrastructure for public works and privately owned projects.

What You'll Do:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning and execution of projects assigned to the water resources engineering division, as well as providing expertise to other company divisions. The candidate will be driven personally and professionally and poised for growth in the North Carolina market.
- Support high profile, complex planning projects, such as watershed studies, water regional master plans, and other planning or restoration studies
- Lead or support watershed and water quality assessments and conventional aspects of watershed planning and Stormwater Control Measure (SCM) or Best Management Practice (BMP) prioritization
- Lead or participate in field work including environmental sampling, SCM inspection and maintenance, retrofit assessments, and stream evaluations
- Prepare written and graphic reports and make presentations
- Prepare basic data and scientific documents regarding stormwater, water quality, watershed management, and best management practices
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules with project managers
- Some local travel will be required and occasional travel outside of local area may be required

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- Water resources related experience
- Must have a valid driver's license
