Engineer 1 Water/Wastewater (hybrid)

ms consultants, inc. is actively seeking a recent graduate engineer for our Water Business Unit working in our Indianapolis, Indiana office. The successful candidate will support the Water practice area by serving on project teams planning and designing water and wastewater focused infrastructure for public works and privately owned projects.

What You'll Do
Located in Indianapolis, IN reporting to our Water Technical Services Manager, you will work with many different ms team members within the company. You will complete design work for water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, distribution and collection systems, storm water and much more. We will count on you to do planning studies/reports, calculations, design work including using AutoCAD, construction administration, and do water system modeling.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and has a strong sense of professional accountability. We are a strong, nimble team so it is important for us to find someone who can understand scope and deadline and be able to execute for results.
Specific Work Will Include
- water and wastewater systems and treatment
- hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design
- stormwater management systems
What You'll Bring
We have a variety of projects coming through the door, so we are looking for someone with versatility and the ability to multi-task to manage multiple projects and priorities. We are looking for someone who is a creative problem solver, willing and able to communicate design ideas and learn office production workflow in a collaborative team environment.
- Excel working individually and, in a team environment
- Have exceptional critical thinking, strong problem solving and decision making abilities
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enjoys working effectively and efficiently within a team environment
- Has knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience in planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant field with Engineer Intern license preferred.
