What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Technician position at MS-IL Packaging?
**Pro Talent Group, **a division of MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, in partnership with a leading local client, is hiring for full-time **Maintenance Technician **position in the Avon, Indiana area!
We’re looking for skilled individuals to maintain and repair processing equipment, ensuring top performance and safety.
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 6 AM – 6 PM
- 2nd Shift: 6 PM – 6 AM
- Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating schedule (Enjoy long weekends every other week!)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ensure compliance with safety and food safety standards (OSHA, GMPs, etc.).
- Lead Preventative Maintenance (PM) efforts to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues with PLCs, VFDs, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Complete work orders efficiently and maintain detailed documentation.
- Assist with equipment changes and startup processes.
- Manage parts inventory and reordering processes.
- Embrace Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and contribute to cross-functional projects.
What We’re Looking For:
- Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience: 3 years of maintenance experience or 5 years in a related trade.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in food processing or manufacturing is a big plus!
- Proficiency with machine tools, hand tools, and electrical troubleshooting equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Tools: Must own personal hand tools; specialized tools will be provided.
