Wire Technician

MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local client are NOW HIRING a Wire Technician in the Florence, Kentucky, area!

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 / hour **Based on Experience Level**

Shift: 1st, 8AM – 4:30PM, Monday to Friday

(Possible Overtime on weekends)

Job Overview: The Wire Technician will work under the direction of the Production Manager, ensuring that assigned projects are completed on schedule and meet quality standards. This role requires expertise in assembling and wiring electrical control panels, following blueprints and schematics to ensure proper functionality within industrial machinery or equipment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, capable of working independently and handling overtime or weekend shifts when needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assemble, wire, and build control panels according to schematics and specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics to ensure proper wiring and connections.
• Meticulously mount components, connect wires, and test circuits to verify functionality.
• Follow all established processes and procedures outlined in project folders.
• Safely operate hand tools like wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering irons, as well as power tools and other equipment.
• Regularly lift up to 75 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and management.

Job Requirements:

• Strong understanding of electrical theory and control panel assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics.
• Ability to read blueprints
• Proficiency with hand tools used in electrical work, including wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering irons.
• Strong electro-mechanical skills are a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
