What are the responsibilities and job description for the Batch Plant Operator (Concrete) position at MS Park Construction LLC?
Batch Plant Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the concrete batch plant. The employee must be very familiar with the concrete batching process in order to produce a quality end product. Maintenance of raw material inventories and scheduling of loads also fall under the responsibilities of the Batch Plant Operator along with ensuring that the batch plant is properly cleaned and maintained at all times. This position has an opportunity for advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all functions responsible for producing quality concrete of good consistency.
- Keep batch plant well maintained and cleaned so as to minimize downtime due to mechanical failure.
- Monitor and maintain raw materials and chemical inventories.
- Complete daily record keeping and paper work.
- Coordinate with QC to make adjustments and strive for continual improvement in concrete quality.
- Work closely with QC Manager to minimize lost concrete through overproduction.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Knowledge of concrete mix designs
- Experience in the operation of a concrete batch plant preferred
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Good mathematical skills
- Intermediate computer knowledge
- Must have or must be able to obtain ACI Level I Field Testing Technician certification within 60 days of hire.
