Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed design activities to include:
- Preparation of control panel drawings; evaluating selected components to determine enclosure size, back plate layout and details, cutouts required, associated wiring diagrams and Bill of Materials
- Preparation of powerline extensions/modification drawings; modify existing or prepare new plan and profiles, pole plan/elevations and installation details
- Preparation of equipment piping plan and sections; participate in field walkdowns to gather field information, photos and measurements, develop drawings showing current field conditions and new work to be implemented.
- Directs the activities of less experienced team members to produce final product.
- Provides checking support for deliverables.
- Design activities are conducted following regimented quality assurance / quality control procedures
- Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in related field
- Associate’s Degree
- Must demonstrate expert proficiency with Autodesk products
- Familiarity with Bentley’s Microstation a plus
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated experience leading small groups of designers
- Experience in the DOE market segments a plus.
- Client projects for this position require US Citizenship
- Must have the ability to acquire a security clearance
- Excellent customer service and communications skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to deal with conflicts and stressful situations
