Responsibilities:
- Coordinates focused, basic improvement efforts under peer or manager supervision to drive continuous improvement efforts at sites / functional departments with clear schedule of next steps and deliverables.
- Utilize MSA Operating System tools (KPI’s, Problem Solving tools, Action Trackers, etc.) and apply behaviors to consistently meet commitments.
- Coordinate efforts on projects / assignments with awareness of budget and milestone goals. Able to identify problems impacting project goals and propose solutions for customer / sponsor evaluation.
- Effectively communicate project results and needs appropriately to direct leadership, both written and verbal. Receive feedback and change course when necessary to drive optimal results.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
- Experience leading and facilitating workshops/improvement activities in a manufacturing environment.
This role is available at multiple levels depending on experience and education:

CI Project Leader III:
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- A MS degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience, and a PhD may be substituted for 4 years of experience.

Senior CI Project Leader:
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- A MS degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience, and a PhD may be substituted for 4 years of experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Lean, 6-Sigma or other continuous improvement processes / tools.

CI Project Manager:
- 7 years of relevant experience.
- A MS degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience, and a PhD may be substituted for 4 years of experience.
- Experience in supervising / leading others.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Lean, 6-Sigma or other continuous improvement processes / tools
