Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide support for patients with developmental disabilities and those requiring hospice care.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Engage with children in pediatric settings to provide comfort and support during their care.
- Participate in training sessions on basic life support techniques and emergency response procedures.
Requirements
- Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant certification.
- Experience working with children or in pediatric settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with hospice care practices and principles.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Basic life support certification is desirable.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
