What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asst. Track Coach (Gr. 6-8) position at MSAD 75 / RSU 75?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist track coaches with practices and meets.
- Provide positive leadership while teaching and modeling good sportsmanship.
- Provide adequate supervision and management of team members during practices and meets.
- Use current best practices to teach and develop individual skills, while maintaining athlete safety.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Preference given to District Employees with coaching experience.
- Prior track coaching experience preferred.
- Coaching Principles Certificate preferred.
- Current CPR/AED and Sports First Aid certifications, or ability to obtain.
- Concussion Management Video Certification, or ability to obtain.
- Maine Dept. of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) Authorization, or ability to obtain
