They manage a portfolio of properties across various markets, focusing on maximizing asset value and investment returns. Their approach emphasizes strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and a hands-on management style to ensure the highest level of performance and profitability for their investors.


The are looking for someone who has worked their way up through the ranks of multifamily operations.


Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join the team and take ownership of a portfolio of multifamily assets. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who excels at financial analysis, strategic planning, and operational oversight. The Asset Manager will be responsible for driving asset performance, coordinating with third-party property managers, and ensuring that all properties are operating at optimal levels to meet financial goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Monitor and analyze property financial performance against underwriting assumptions and budgets. Review monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date variance reports, providing detailed explanations for deviations of 5% or more.
  • Performance Optimization: Collaborate with third-party management companies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce expenses, and increase revenue through effective leasing, marketing, and rent growth strategies.
  • Capital Improvements: Work closely with the Capital Improvements team to manage and oversee property renovations, upgrades, and value-add initiatives. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with overall investment strategy.
  • Investor Reporting: Prepare and present performance updates, financial reviews, and strategic recommendations to senior management and investors. Ensure transparency and clear communication of asset performance metrics.
  • Task Management: Use task tracking tools to monitor and manage assigned responsibilities to internal and external teams, ensuring accountability and timely completion of tasks.
  • Risk Management: Conduct regular market research and competitive analysis to identify risks and opportunities within each asset’s market. Implement corrective actions as needed to mitigate risks and maximize asset value.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including Fair Housing laws. Address compliance-related issues promptly to avoid potential fines or penalties.
  • Delinquency Management: Oversee tenant delinquency and eviction processes, ensuring that third-party managers are executing timely and compliant actions to maintain cash flow stability.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Foster strong working relationships with internal teams, third-party managers, and other stakeholders to align on asset management goals and drive execution.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with property management operations experience
  • Combined relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven track record of maximizing asset performance and value through strategic planning and execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and develop actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and compliance requirements.
  • Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) or Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Salary : $125,000 - $200,000
