BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY :
The AIS Account Manager requires providing a sales service-oriented interface with all outside consultants, users, representatives, prospects, and internal personnel. Promotes products and capabilities in alignment with AIS sales and profitability objectives. Customer focus, follow-through, proactive communication, organization, and the ability to multi-task are essential for this role.
This role requires a top-notch communicator, building and maintaining key relationships with all stakeholders, end users, internal stakeholders, and outside influencers to demonstrate outstanding commitment to our customer’s success. Needs to have a sense of urgency, an understanding of how processes should work and what can be achieved when following and optimizing them for the business challenges that are faced daily. This role is often the first point of contact with our customers and has the role of modeling the company’s values, brand, and image in the eyes of our customers and suppliers.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Acts as the key interface between the customer and internal departments (purchasing, quality, warehouse, and accounting) to coordinate activities between the customers, sales and other functional areas of the business to meet organizational goals as well as ensure timely and accurate order shipments to the customer.
- Enhances sales and provides resolution to questions from key customer decision makers, specifiers, engineers and suppliers through the application of product knowledge and coordination of external (i.e. suppliers) and internal resources.
- Ensures the integrity and growth of the gross margin performance of the aligned customers. Leads the growth-focused initiatives in this space while working collaboratively with the RBDM (where applicable), RSM, Directors of Account Management, Directors of Sales, and others in the organization.
- Ensures that purchase orders, VMI and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) orders are verified and accurately entered, tracking errors and initiating preventive steps, handle cancellations, debits and credits.
- Expedites orders to make the delivery time and monitoring for past due orders.
- Maximize the integration of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system tools into all areas of company daily activities.
- Responsible for assistance of identification, documentation, segregation, evaluation and disposition of non-conforming product, services and systems.
- Collaborates with Regional Sales Managers to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
- Enters new customer data and update changes to existing or new accounts in the corporate database (TdF).
- Quotes products for customers.
- Communicates brand identity and corporate position.
- Supplies customers in a timely response regarding product information (I.e. pricing, lead-time, and other pertinent information), while following AIS policy and guidelines for all special prints are sent through the print review process
- Visits customer and / or supplier locations.
- Attends trade shows as required.

- Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

Compensation starting at $45010 – $70730 / year and up, dependent on experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
