Job Summary/ Key Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for accurately recording all financial transactions and aiding in the maintenance and account reconciliation of financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains an accurate record of financial transactions.
Updates and maintains the general ledger.
Performs the reconciliation of entries into the accounting system.
Records of debits and credits in MSC proprietary system.
Maintains the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
Uses knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
Reconciles and reports differences or issues found in financial records.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Minimum 1 year experience in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Accounts Receivables or Accounts Payables processing
Basic accounting knowledge
Understanding of accounting best practices
Knowledge of IFRS, U.S GAAP, or another accounting framework
High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
