Job Summary/ Key Responsibilities:

Manages daily operations for the release, return and repositioning of MSC containers and gensets ensuring proper supply of equipment in all strategic areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor information using MSC proprietary IT system along with excel reports and use of Power BI to assess properly.
• Ensure appropriate allocation of equipment in the northeast region.
• Ensures appropriate allocation of MSC’s equipment (Containers, gensets and special equipment) in accordance with Logistics strategy, demand, and vendors’ capacity – ensuring appropriate allocation of equipment in all nationwide areas.
• Creates reports and monitors the Equipment Inventories for US Terminals and Depots
• Identifies and addresses potential Equipment’s sublease, miss-releases, theft or loss situations
• Liaises with internal departments, oversea offices and occasionally with government agencies (ex.US Customs), as necessary.
• Generate potential solutions to operational issues.
• Analyze data and consider performance modifications and implement strategies
• Work effectively in a team environment to complete goals assigned by department manager.
• Escalate unique or complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.
• Observes corporate guidelines when addressing vendor and customer inquiries regarding equipment.
• Provide feedback regarding current corporate practices and metrics to support process efficiencies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Key Competencies:

Required skills, experience, education

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar role (supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.)

• Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software
